For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we are the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect
Through the enquiry form on this site we collect only what we need to respond to you:
- Your name.
- Your telephone number.
- Your email address.
- Optionally, your state or union territory, because stamp duty and registration procedure vary across India.
- Optionally, any message you choose to write describing what you need.
- The service page you sent the enquiry from, which is recorded automatically so that the right person calls you back.
When you book a consultation we also keep the time you chose, and whether you agreed to the call being recorded. We record a consultation only if you ticked that box. Its recording and the transcript made from it are kept with your matter, seen only by those working on it, and are never used for any other purpose.
If you choose to sign in with Google rather than type your details, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your password, and we do not gain access to your Google account.
Our servers also record ordinary technical information such as IP address and browser type, which is used to keep the site running securely.
To understand how the site is used, we use Zoho PageSense. It sets cookies and records which pages are visited, where visitors click and scroll, and where a form is left unfinished, and it may replay a visit's movement around a page. Anything typed into a form is masked and never recorded. PageSense runs only if you accept it when the site first asks, and you can change your answer at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page. We use it only to improve the site.
3. Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your details for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to carry out the work you engage us for. We rely on the consent you give when you submit the form, and on our legitimate need to keep records of the matters we handle.
We do not use your details for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not share them with third parties for their own marketing.
5. How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for retention period to be supplied, after which they are deleted. Where you become a client, records relating to your matter are kept for as long as required by law and by professional obligations.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act, 2023 you have the right to:
