AT A GLANCE
- WHAT IT IS
- A civil court's certificate that lets the heirs of someone who left no will claim the debts and securities owed to the estate.
- WHEN YOU NEED IT
- When banks or companies ask for it before releasing the deceased's bank balances, deposits, shares or dividends.
- WHAT WE DO
- We prepare the heirs' application, file it in the civil court and take it through to the certificate.
When the deceased has not made any Will, his legal heirs will have to make an application in a Civil Court for grant of a certificate that will enable them to claim rights for all the securities, dividends, bank balances etc. Such a certificate is known as Succession Certificate.
