If the maker of the Will desires not to revoke the existing Will, but only wants to alter or modify it in some respects, he can do so by executing a document called "Codicil".

Codicil means an instrument made in relation to a Will explaining, altering or adding to its dispositions and shall be deemed to form part of the Will which is defined in Sec.2(b) of Indian Succession Act.
